    The essential oil is extracted from the flowering top of the plant and the leaves. It has a rich herbal scent, gently spicy and mountainous, reminiscent almost of a wild and deep oregano smell, while having at the same time quite floral and earthy notes.

    Dittany of Crete, also known as Dictamnus or Origanum dictamnus, is a rare and unique herb native to the rocky slopes of the Greek island of Crete. Renowned for its remarkable healing properties, Dittany of Crete has been treasured for centuries

  • Mechanism of Action

    Cretan dittany, considered the king of Cretan herbs, contains more than 70 different healing substances. It is an oil with great antioxidant, antispasmodic, astringent and soothing properties.
